About Us
Why are we doing this?
Jamie and myself have been talking about this for some time and last month we decided to go for it, Motorsickle will reflect how we, and hopefully you, see the biking world.
No experience at all in journalism, camera work, audio or editing (this may be obvious…) we bought a camera and got out there to speak to you, the riders. Sink or swim we are going for it!
Most bike mags concentrate on the bikes, their writers on their own adventures, you do get some stories about regular riders but not many, motorsickle intends to switch that around, rallies, runs, meets and parties, we want you to tell the world about your life in the motorsickle world.
Riding is something that is very important to us, we know it's important for you too and we want you to share that with us and our readers.
The type of bike is unimportant to us, it's the travelling that's important, bikes are a mode of transport designed to get you from A to B either cheaply, quickly, efficiently or (my favourite) with as much fun as possible.
So tell us about your favourite ride, your favourite road or just how you once chilled on the Atlantic coast after a run down the Portuguese coast.
The trip from hell in 5 hours of pouring rain, or in my case 13 hours of snow! How about how your latest project that has become a nightmare or a brilliant success. If it has a bike in it we want to know!
We want you to be involved with Motorsickle.com, email us with ideas, suggestions and even send in your own videos.
We are interested in hearing from anyone with a project on the go, that they would be willing to document or film for us.
Perhaps you could film your rally and send it in with either a commentary or enough notes for us to do it for you. We cant be everywhere. If the video is a bit big then you can post it to us or if you email us I will arrange an ftp link for you to upload it to our server.
Perhaps you know of a biking character that would talk to us, maybe a celeb biker or even a racer anyone who might be interesting to the biking world.
Also we are going to need help with various parts of Motorsickle, if you have a skill that might help then contact us, any experience with journalism, camera work, directing, sound, websites and video streaming would be useful. (Doesn't really leave a lot…)
Send us a link, if its bike related we will add it. (but this does not mean we endorse it)
Please don't send in footage of your mates doing stupid stunts on the road, or breaking the law, we really don't want to encourage that sort of thing… now do we…
